When did God reach down for you?

Inspired by the song, ‘When He reached down His hand for me” by G. E. Wright

1) Once my soul was astray from the heavenly way, And was wretched and vile as could be;
But my Saviour above, gave me peace, joy and love, When He reach’d down His hand for me.

4) Since the Lord gave me peace heav’nly joys never cease, Lord, I give all my life unto Thee;
Guide my feet, hold my hand, grant with Thee I may stand, For you reach’d down your hand for me. [Chorus]

We may have walked on our own for many years, determined to be independent, heroic even, and strong. Until one day we come to realize that we are not strong enough. That is the moment our Creator is waiting for. – Why? – Because He made you (and I), to walk and talk with the one who made you.
— You were never formed to be a self-centered being, totally isolated from your Creator.
On that day, I hope God’s Holy Spirit is able to break through to you, just as when He broke through my pride, and ego, that day above my raging river, as I gave up trying to succeed on my own powers, and turned to Jesus for help.

— Long story short… That is the day ‘He reached down His hand for me”.
I will always remember, without any regret, the time I surrendered my life, and my future to Him. This I did in response to His words, “Ken, that was all I was waiting to hear.”

What is God waiting to hear from you?
— He is waiting to hear you say that you want to walk under His lead, and to have a personal communion with your loving Creator. (And I will tell you a great mystery, and a powerful secret… HE MADE YOU SO HE COULD ENJOY WALKING AND TALKING TO YOU, yes even just YOU!)

— Oh, I am tempted to climb on my roof-top and shout it out to the whole world. But that news would not carry very far, and the neighbours might get concerned. So, I am writing it down here, in the hope that God will lead you to discover this truth.

I will close with the understanding of verse 3 of this song… “How my heart doth rejoice since I made Him my choice, From the tempest to Him now I flee; Now I lean on His arm, I’m secure from all harm, Since He reach’d down His hand for me.”
— You see, after that moment when God reaches down to bring you salvation, He no longer needs “reach down” to you anymore, for when you are born again, (SEE John3:3-7), God’s Holy Spirit comes into you, and from that moment He no longer needs reach down, but simply reaches out for you to hear his voice, as He seeks to walk and commune with you every moment of every day. – What an amazing comfort that is for each of us.

— I do hope and pray that you have already received this blessing. If not, you simply need to turn, right where you are, and ask Jesus to come in and be your Saviour. It may help to place your name in the promise from (John 3:16-17) “For God so loved (insert your name), that he gave his only Son, that as (your name) believes in him, (your name) should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn (your name), but in order that (your name) might be saved through him.” (Blessings to you, …KRK.)
