The theme of our ministry is anchored in God’s Word which tells us, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (17) that the man (this means men and women) of God may be complete, equipped for every good work… 2nd Timothy 3:16-17″.
— This truth applies to you also, as you choose to follow Christ.
I have a God given desire to equip people to study His precious and life-giving Word, so may you find inspiration in these Bible Study Helps…
A BRIEF INTRODUCTION:
I’m now a retired pastor, after ministering God’s Word to churches through the Open Door Bible Fellowship, BC, Canada.
— Yes, I am retired, but like all of us Christians, God is not done with us. We have more to do. That is why I tongue-in-cheek like to sign off as Pastor Ken Kriese (RBND) – meaning Retired But Not Done.
— Therefore, I present these pages to bless, strengthen, and encourage.
— To return to home page at any time, simply click on the LOGO
I have authored these pages to encourage interactive and engaging discussion. I have no objection to their use at no cost as long as there is no profit-taking or copyright intrusion.
— We are supporting a church build in Cotacachi, Ecuador, and have a donations link below if you are so inclined (Muchas gracias).
— Pastor Jose Ermel Saltos Morales of ‘Iglesia Dios es Amor’ is another working pastor (Has to have a secular job to sustain his family). His congregation (Made up of lower income laboring Ecuadorians) meet in a store front building which they rent, and they long to have a lot to build their own church. — I am asking for help by donating to this good work…
— I have attached these links available to open in PDF form they contain the Bible quizzes of “50 Topical Bible Quizzes” (In 4 parts to ease downloading).
These pages are meant to encourage and increase Bible knowledge.
— I’ve created these quizzes as a study help to be copied and printed for a fun study.
— I’ve started on NEW QUIZZES 2024/25. – posted examples below:

I find constant struggles highlighted in the News and on various postings these days between
the edicts of mankind and what is written in the Bible.
— As I wonder about this, I see also an historical link reaching back to the very roots of mankind.
— It involves our struggle to accept God’s authority over all He has created.
I’ve posted the answer God gave me for when people ask…
(Digging into a study from – pursueGOD.org)

I present a worship video below on Youtube that gives me great comfort, as it reminds me who is guiding a Christian’s life, regardless of governments and conflicts.
This link is meant to call us to prayer as we pray for peace and justice in Ukraine…
To follow Jesus, and have Him guide our walk in these terrible times, we need to know His words and instructions… This comes from studying the scriptures.
At this time we must keep praying for Ukraine and holding onto the strength we have in knowing that over all the earth, and all the nations… GOD STILL REIGNS!
Psalm 9:7-10 But the LORD is king forever; he has set up his throne for judgment. (8) He rules the world with righteousness; he judges the nations with justice. (9) The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a place of safety in times of trouble. (10) Those who know you, LORD, will trust you; you do not abandon anyone who comes to you.
May God give a blessing to all who study His Word
Why should we study the Bible? (What does a book of history have for my life today?)
Here are some answers to these questions:
1/ The scriptures written in the Bible come from God’s Holy Spirit to guide, comfort, strengthen and correct all who choose to follow Him. (2nd Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (17) that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.)
2/ Some might say that these verses are like someone testifying of themselves… Why should we believe this?
— I will ask you to test God’s Word for yourself and see what a true seeking heart will find. (Psalm 34:7-8 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. (8) Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!)
3/ God deals with the spiritual facts of humanity, the physical is no challenge for Him at all, as God can speak anything into existence, or out of existence for that matter. However, in the spiritual realm, He has yielded control of your life into your own hands. This is because God wants you to choose to serve and praise Him, He does not want FORCED SERVICE AND WORSHIP.
— Therefore He has written you a love letter, to counsel, teach and entreat you to choose good over evil, service to others over self-centered living, and eventually eternal life in paradise over the second death in the ‘Lake of fire’.
My point is that in studying the Bible we must meditate on God’s Words, which means taking time to listen to God’s instruction for living a blessed victorious life. (Please note that I do not say ‘trouble-free life’… For as we live a life that seeks to follow God, our first and original enemy, Satan will come against you, and try to stir up people and circumstances to defeat and discourage you.)
— 1st Peter 5:6-11 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, (7) casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (8) Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (9) Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. (10) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (11) To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
So with these instructions of Peter (Saint Peter) to lead us, let us study and meditate on God’s Word together.
– You will find that it can change the direction of your life, and give you TRUE peace and victory.

God has always had a purpose for all of us in this world. God also had a definite plan to redeem us from judgment for our sins.
— Our Creator God makes a great effort to tell us of His plan in His LOVE LETTER to us, THE BIBLE.
— In its pages, you will find God’s plan for every nation and every person. He also warns and assures, that the world is moving through history to an ultimate climax. That is the time when everything will be revealed. You can be sure, whether you are alive to see it, or not… That you will be present when EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW before Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and everyone will finally be made aware that indeed, ‘Jesus Christ is Lord’. This will happen when Jesus comes to judge the earth.
I want to look at God’s continuing plan to REDEEM this fallen world. (Redemption means a Reclaiming from a debt owed.)
— We will start by looking at the role of your FAITH in this redemption plan.

Why does God’s church have so many disagreements?
*
Is it just a ‘Canadian Thing’?
*
Such as:
1/ Do you get the reward of salvation for living a good life?
2/ Why do we need a body in the next life?
3/ What about cremation? (Is it acceptable for a Christian or not?)
4/ In heaven will we have to stand in the lines of the billions of believers if we want to see Jesus?
*
*
Why do we struggle with the idea that ALL sin can be forgiven?
*
*
*
Do you fear the idea of spirits?
*
Why do we struggle with God’s Word? (Is it an authority issue?)
— It involves our struggle to accept God’s authority over all He has created.
— So I am going to look into a list of our modern-day conflicts with our Creator.
— Links will be provided as each topic is published.
What is the call to be a generation of Joshuas and Calebs?
It is a call to the nations…
“Christians rise up, for God is calling forth a generation of Joshuas and Calebs!”
This was the theme of our Bible studies for the spring of 2021…
I have them archived in note form at the ‘read more’ link provided below.
— I believe they contain a Godly challenge for us all to live up to. …KK

Who is this Jesus? (What power does He hold in your life?)
— You and I must answer this as you stand before God Himself, in the final act of your life…
— As we leave the Birthday celebrations of Jesus behind at the end of each year, we move on to pick up the struggles of everyday life, and I say that with tongue in cheek, for in this time of global crisis and upheaval, a normal everyday life looks pretty good, and we long to get back to that.
— However, none of us knows the number of our days. It doesn’t matter if you are 100 or 10, no one has a guarantee of tomorrow, and this is sadly born out in our news media every day.
So, what is your answer as to the identity of Jesus Christ?
The shepherds had an answer, for they believed what the angel told them of this baby born in a feed-trough in the insignificant hamlet of Bethlehem.
We will begin in the fall of 2021 to examine who Jesus is to us.
If you need a little spiritual comfort more than that morning cup of coffee, I have these songs to start your day right. It is one of my Youtube playlists to lift you up so you can rise above.
