Why do we struggle with God’s Word? (Is it an authority issue?)
I find constant struggles highlighted in the News these days between the edicts of mankind and what is written in the Bible. And as I wonder about this, I see also an historical link reaching back to the very roots of mankind.
— It involves our struggle to accept God’s authority over all He has created.
1/ First let’s look at our struggle with the fact that God created man and woman, male and female…
SEE Genesis 1:26-28 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (28) And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
— Modern-day thinking is that there are more than these two ‘sexes’…
Our messed up and polluted environment seems to be bringing confusion into the very hormonal structures of some. If this is true it still remains that you are born with a body that is meant to be male or female. The effects of our environment happen after this fact, whether these be absorbed through exposure to chemicals and drugs in our environment or by the psychological factors we are exposed to.
— The solution remains to honour your creator, and to seek to remain living according to His plan for your life, and your eternal destiny. When that way is difficult, He is just a whispered prayer away.
— I know personally how God can answer and heal all our fleshly problems, including our innermost thoughts. He can give you a new mind and a new cause for living, if you will simply cry out to Him for His will to be done in you and through you.
“Create a pure heart in me, O God, and put a new and loyal spirit in me. Do not banish me from your presence; do not take your holy spirit away from me. Give me again the joy that comes from your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.” (Psalm 51:10-12)
If you are struggling with your sexuality, I could share a couple of instances from my teen and early adult years that helped me understand God’s ability to heal our thoughts and bring us comfort in our struggles to follow His plan for our lives. Just ask for this from the contact forms provided. There is no need for you to share, just let me share my victories with you. (KK)
