Walking in Victory (Hebrews 12 – Intro / Session #2)

Intro / Session #2 (ERV) Bible used here …(KRK)

Hebrews 12:28 ends with these orders for Christians: “So we should be thankful because we have a kingdom that cannot be shaken. And because we are thankful, we should worship God in a way that will please him. We should do this with respect and fear…

(There are various ways of ‘WORSHIPPING GOD’.)
— True worship will help us to walk in Victory, God’s Victory, which is eternal.

(In our discussions we need to appreciate the many forms of WORSHIP.)

Revelation 4:9-11 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever,  (10)  the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,  (11)  “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

Revelation 19:4-5 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!”  (5)  And from the throne came a voice saying, “Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great.”

— It is very clear in the God’s Word, the Bible, that we will spend eternity worshipping God.

— However, it is also true that preaching the Gospel will end, because all who remain are already eternally saved and sanctified…

1st Corinthians 13:8-12 (ERV) Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.  (9)  For we know in part and we prophesy in part,  (10)  but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.  (11)  When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.  (12)  For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

— In heaven we will not need teachers, or preachers, for God’s Holy Spirit will reveal all knowledge, even Godly knowledge, to us all.

In the meantime, let us reason together and let the Holy Spirit teach and correct us…

Isaiah 1:18-20  “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.  (19)  If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;  (20)  but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
