What will you do when a man shows up who can do miracles and wonders, and preaches a new peace-making gospel to all nations?
— The Bible tells us that he will try to bring peace to the disputes between various religions by setting up a global religion that would be ‘inclusive’ to all faiths, and most likely all the versions of sexes the world has invented by then.
— WOULD YOU FOLLOW HIM?
A better question is, HOW WOULD YOU DISCERN IF YOU SHOULD FOLLOW HIM?
— I am not going to spoon out my understanding on this prophetic matter, instead, I am going to let scripture speak for itself…
— 1st John 2:18-28 My children, the end is near! You were told that the Enemy of Christ would come; and now many enemies of Christ have already appeared, and so we know that the end is near. (19) These people really did not belong to our fellowship, and that is why they left us; if they had belonged to our fellowship, they would have stayed with us. But they left so that it might be clear that none of them really belonged to us. (20) But you have had the Holy Spirit poured out on you by Christ, and so all of you know the truth. (21) I write you, then, not because you do not know the truth; instead, it is because you do know it, and you also know that no lie ever comes from the truth. (22) Who, then, is the liar? It is those who say that Jesus is not the Messiah. Such people are the Enemy of Christ—they reject both the Father and the Son. (23) For those who reject the Son reject also the Father; those who accept the Son have the Father also. (24) Be sure, then, to keep in your hearts the message you heard from the beginning. If you keep that message, then you will always live in union with the Son and the Father. (25) And this is what Christ himself promised to give us—eternal life. (26) I am writing this to you about those who are trying to deceive you. (27) But as for you, Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit’s teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ. (28) Yes, my children, remain in union with him, so that when he appears we may be full of courage and need not hide in shame from him on the Day he comes.
Who are these people from verse 19? “These people really did not belong to our fellowship, and that is why they left us…”
— We are told that they have accepted a lie in verse (22), “Who, then, is the liar? It is those who say that Jesus is not the Messiah. Such people are the Enemy of Christ—they reject both the Father and the Son.”
There is a movement in religious circles, that would like to unite all religions in our world.
— To do this they must remove any roadblocks to claims that one faith is the true way to God…
In this they come against a serious problem that Jesus spoke in the Bible found in John 14:6, Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me.
— SOLUTION; just eliminate this teaching from your faith, and you can blend that sort of ‘Christ following’ with any of the other faiths. (The only problem is that it makes either the Bible or Jesus a LIAR… And that may be hard for some to accept.)
— MAY I SUGGEST; that these are the ones who have “left us”, ~ “It is those who say that Jesus is not the Messiah. Such people are the Enemy of Christ—they reject both the Father and the Son.”
— AGAIN, I MAINTAIN THAT I DO NOT NEED TO PUT FORTH MY UNDERSTANDING ON THIS;
(SEE 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4) If there is anything hidden about our message, it is hidden only to someone who is lost. The god who rules this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers. They cannot see the light, which is the good news about our glorious Christ, who shows what God is like.
— Here the Apostle Paul tells us that those who deny that Jesus is the ONLY way to God are following the God of this world, NOT JESUS. (Though they may have been members of the church, they were not true followers of the only Lord and Savior, Jesus.)
— As we have read in 1st John 2:26-27… “I am writing this to you about those who are trying to deceive you. (27) But as for you, Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit’s teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ.”
Do you struggle with discerning these sorts of lies from the truth?
— Then you need to seek what the Apostle John writes in verse (20) But you have had the Holy Spirit poured out on you by Christ, and so all of you know the truth.
— How do you get the Holy Spirit poured on you, to guide and live with you?
Let God’s Words speak…
Acts 2:37-41 When the people heard this, they were deeply troubled and said to Peter and the other apostles, “What shall we do, brothers?” (38) Peter said to them, “Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God’s gift, the Holy Spirit. (39) For God’s promise was made to you and your children, and to all who are far away—all whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” (40) Peter made his appeal to them and with many other words he urged them, saying, “Save yourselves from the punishment coming on this wicked people!” (41) Many of them believed his message and were baptized, and about three thousand people were added to the group that day.
— These people had been deceived into denying Jesus as the Messiah, to the point that they had cried out, “Crucify Him!” …And so they are asking a similar question, “What shall we do?”
— Peter said to them, (Vs.28) “Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God’s gift, the Holy Spirit.
This speaks of a TRUE, HEARTFELT REPENTANCE… If you are that convicted of your sinful failures, and you turn to the Lord and pray that He would forgive you, I guarantee that Jesus will cover you in His forgiveness, and give you His Holy Spirit to guide you in all the steps you need to take as you follow Him.
— After that, you will need to COMMIT TO FOLLOWING HIM. (I write that in large letters because it is crucial that you choose to keep that commitment with the courage and strength that God will give you.)
I suggest that you then also seek the same baptism of the Holy Spirit that Peter spoke of in Acts 2:14-18…
— And do not fear this baptism, for we are promised that as we truly seek good gifts from God in order to bless others, that He will not disappoint us. SEE Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. (8) For everyone who asks will receive, and anyone who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to those who knock. (9) Would any of you who are fathers give your son a stone when he asks for bread? (10) Or would you give him a snake when he asks for a fish? (11) As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
— Talk to the Lord about it… And let me know what He reveals to you, for I would be very interested in what God says to you. …Be aware please, that if God speaks to you, it will NEVER CONTRADICT what is written in the Bible (His letter of loving care for us.) ~ So continue to study the Bible and I know God will bless you, …KK
