This is our statement of FAITH (What we know of God’s relationship to us.)
— WE BELIEVE the Holy Bible to be the divinely inspired, and authoritative Word of God.
— WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in the Persons of the Holy Trinity. (We believe in the fact that God is The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.)
— WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His sinless humanity, and perfect life. (We accept the spiritual understanding of Jesus as part of the Triune God-head as recorded by the apostle John in John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.)
— WE BELIEVE in the eternal all-sufficiency of Christ’s atoning death. (As we accept His death in our place, His sacrifice is the only and the complete answer to our record of sin. Nothing else can or should be added by man as a further requirement of our salvation.)
— WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension to the Father’s right hand, and His personal coming again. (Just as the angel told it to those believers in Acts 1:11 “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”)
— WE BELIEVE that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation, just as Jesus told Nicodemus... “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’” (John 3:5-7)
— WE BELIEVE God gives us a call to holy living. (As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1st Peter 1:14-16)
— WE BELIEVE in the present-day reality of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit, just as Apostle Peter explained, “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.” (Acts 2:17-18)
— WE BELIEVE in Christ as the head of the Church, and we celebrate this fact by the observance of the ordinances of baptism in water for believers in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as following the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20, “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
— And the Lord’s Supper (Communion). And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.” (Luke 22:19-20)
— WE BELIEVE in the eternal life of the redeemed in heaven and the “second death” of the unsaved in the lake of fire. (And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Revelations 21:6-8)
